Tangerines There's a whole in my pocket That's why I don't keep lose change There's a soul I've been saving I  hope its  locked in safe I don't want to be broke I sell blades for a living Can I read you a story? 'I wonder if that's okay, I guess Well don't judge I'm not a good storyteller There's still more that I have to say', I said So I told her my mystery And she didn't hear a word I said so I walked away slowly And guess who called me back Raymond, tangerines Of course he gave me tangerines There was never a day That I didn't pray For my Raymond and tangerines So why'd you come here my old friend? You put me back to sleep Tangerines, you put me back to sleep I knew you'd hunt me down But I thought you would leave Before me I knew you'd come around To put me back to sleep Tangerines.

Poet's Prayer The night is young And so am I The sooner, the better So start it right Too late or too early, There's never time The weight of the world Makes it hard to run On the rough ground Under the laughing sun So my story Has just begun I have an unsung rhythm You right the song.
